Terms of service
Last updated August 2, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of camu, an AI fitness coaching companion delivered over chat (Telegram, iMessage, and WhatsApp), operated by Adam Demian, a sole trader (živnostník) registered in the Slovak Republic, Sebechleby 333, 962 66 Sebechleby, Slovakia ("camu", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using camu, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use camu.
2. What camu is — and isn't
camu is a coach in your messages, not a doctor.
camu is an AI-driven fitness coaching companion. It builds and adapts training plans, checks in on your progress, and answers questions about your training, based on what you tell it and any data you connect.
camu is not medical advice, is not a medical device, and using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship or any other clinical relationship. camu is not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Training, especially at the intensity typical of hybrid and HYROX preparation, carries a risk of injury. You should consult a qualified physician before beginning or changing a training program, and especially before training with an existing injury, medical condition, or any symptom that concerns you. If you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or any other warning sign during training, stop and seek medical attention — do not rely on camu in an emergency.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use camu. By using camu, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Pricing and billing
€19/month or €192/year, billed through Stripe.
camu is offered on a subscription basis at €19 per month, or €192 per year when billed annually. Prices are shown and charged in euros unless stated otherwise, and are inclusive or exclusive of applicable VAT as displayed at checkout. Your purchase is completed with Stripe acting as merchant of record: Stripe is the legal seller of the subscription for payment purposes, collects and remits applicable VAT and sales taxes, and handles payment processing and chargebacks. camu does not receive or store your card details. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand, and we may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable advance notice.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
You can cancel anytime — but once you start using a billing period, you've used it.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract without giving a reason. Because camu is a digital service delivered immediately upon payment, by subscribing and beginning to use camu before the 14-day period ends, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed, or lapses in proportion to the service already supplied, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU (and its implementation in your jurisdiction).
In practice: you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and we don't issue partial refunds for unused time within a period, except where required by applicable law.
6. Cancellation
Cancelling is as easy as signing up.
You can cancel your subscription at any time, in one of two ways: by asking camu to cancel directly in chat, or through the billing portal link camu provides. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then, and you're not charged again after that.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use camu for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or misuse the underlying AI models or infrastructure that power camu.
- Send content that is abusive, harassing, or that infringes the rights of others, including to camu itself or through any account it manages on your behalf.
- Use camu to impersonate another person, or to provide fitness or medical advice to third parties on camu's behalf without authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of camu or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
8. Third-party services
camu runs on services we don't control — their terms apply too.
camu is delivered through third-party messaging platforms (Telegram, iMessage, and WhatsApp). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, outages, or changes to their APIs that affect how camu can reach you. To start an iMessage conversation, you give us your phone number; we pass it to our iMessage delivery provider solely to open the conversation and route messages between you and camu.
Payments are handled by Stripe as merchant of record (see section 4); we never see or store your card details. If you connect a fitness or health integration (for example a wearable), your use of that service remains subject to its own terms, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Where camu links to external websites or content, we don't control them and don't endorse or take responsibility for what they contain.
9. Your training, your risk
You train at your own risk.
All physical training carries inherent risk of injury, including serious injury. You are solely responsible for your decision to train, for listening to your body, and for seeking medical clearance where appropriate. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, camu and its operator disclaim all liability for injuries, health issues, or damages arising from or related to your use of camu or any training program, guidance, or suggestion it provides.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, camu and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of camu, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by proven negligence, or for fraud.
11. Intellectual property
camu, its name, branding, and underlying software are owned by Adam Demian or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use camu for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You retain ownership of the content you send to camu (e.g. your messages and training data); by sending it, you grant us the license needed to process it in order to provide the service, as described in our Privacy policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as camu evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly (e.g. in chat). Continuing to use camu after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence if you are an EU consumer.
